An integral part of the External Studies department is Satellite Schools. Satellite Schools use the instruction from SIBI but are administered by local individuals who serve as agents of SIBI. With the development of SIBI Online Studies, Satellite Schools look a little different now than they did in the past. There are many who are still actively training the body of Christ, but they have begun using SunsetOnline.org to do most of the administrative work.

Satellite School courses can be taken at three different levels: audit level, certificate level, and credit level. Certificates of completion or a bachelor’s degree can be achieved upon completion of the full curriculum. Certificates and degrees are earned directly through SunsetOnline.org. Students wanting a level of study beyond audit complete all of the necessary requirements through the online courses while they learn the material along with the rest of the church classroom.
